Valentines Date Night In Guide
Coming up with Valentine’s Day date ideas is difficult. Let us help alleviate some of that pressure with these love filled date ideas & tips, tried and true by our team of course.
The Price Tag
I am talking to the lads here, if you only take one thing away from this its…. DON’T LEAVE THE PRICE TAG ON! No girl wants to see what you paid for on the gift you picked up at Target just before getting to her house. Trust me, she probably already knows the price. Now that that’s out of the way, here are a few tips that are personally tried and true.
Florals
Most grocery stores that have a designated a floral section will be more than happy to wrap up your flowers in a pretty bouquet. Pick out 2-3 different types of flowers and color coordinate them. Sometimes less is more! Get rid of the plastic wrap, she’ll never know if it’s from grocery store or the florist down the street.
Snacks
While you're at the grocery store, go ahead and pick up some fresh strawberries and your choice of chocolate (my fav is the Trader Joe's milk chocolate bar) for a classic chocolate covered strawberry.
Drinks
Can’t forget the main attraction, the drinks! To make this Valentine’s Day a little more festive, go ahead and add pomegranate juice and seeds to your favorite drink to give it a festive twist. Below is our favorite recipe for a killer pomegranate margarita, sure to impress.

The Method:

Gifts
Gifts, yes it’s a daunting thing to think about. Women can be hard but at the same time they give A LOT of hints when you don't even realize it. Do your best to pick up on things when she mentions she needs something, or wants something. It’s easy to forget so write it down! Gifts that will never let you down are Jo Malone lotion, a Barefoot Dreams blanket, a puppy, maybe a baby? You never really know what she might want!
Takeout
Food is the way to a girls heart and there’s nothing better than good old fashion Asian cuisine from a box! It’s great for satisfying taste buds and it’s easy on the wallet. If you're from the Bellevue area three places that I highly recommend are “Best Wok Restaurant” for Chinese, “Tokyo Japanese Restaurant” for Sushi, and “Bellevue Thai Kitchen” for Thai. All of these places are a go to for me they have the BEST customer service and their food is to die for. Just don't judge a book by its cover ;)
Ending the Night
Nothing sets the mood like a candlelit dinner with Frank Sinatra playing in the background.
End the night with a living room sleepover! Bring your mattress into the living room, throw all the blankets on there, start a fire (if you have a fireplace), pop some corn, and play a movie. Some movie suggestions I have for a great ending for the night are “5 feet apart” if you want to shed a tear or two, “The Vow” a classic, and good old "The Notebook".
Let us know if you try any of these suggestions, and sending all the love to you and yours during this season of love!
